On Saturday February 13th, I gave a talk at Front Range Anglers called "A Guide's View to Entomology." This a basic entomology class from the point of you of a guide. It was well received and there have been some requests for the slides. The slides are in the PDF file below. However, the silky words of wisdom from yours truly, as well as some video and animation are not. If you want that, I will have to do it in person.
Static slides from "A Guide's View to Entomology."

This class covers al the basic information and techniques you need to get out on the river and catch fish:
Rigging Fly patterns Basic entomology Casting Trout Handling River etiquette Trout Habitat
It is a hands-on class with both group and individual instruction. Past participants have said the class is very informative and also lots of fun. Reference materials and other valuable resources are provided so that the students can continue to learn the art of Fly Fishing. Although the class is designed for beginners, many experienced anglers have taken it to brush-up on their techniques or fill in gaps in their knowledge.
